Where physical limits drive your mind to the breaking point.
Not a workshop. Not a retreat. Not personal development.
You know discipline. You hold yourself to demanding routines. Whether through endurance sport, physical surpassing, or performance optimisation, you've learned to make constraint a tool.
These are not bad tools. You master them. The problem? Your mind has digested them. It negotiates effort, manages pain, adapts to your methods. Whatever you do, it stays in control.
The worst place to understand your mind is your mind.
You need a short-circuit it cannot anticipate.
How long will you keep going like this before admitting it isn't a problem of method?
This isn't an abstract concept. It's a biological reality.
Between the 24th and 30th hour without sleep, the mind's machinery doesn't quiet down : it collapses through circuit exhaustion. The mind capitulates mechanically.
The sea is not a backdrop. It is a dangerous environment that tolerates no absence.
On a sailboat offshore, mental autopilot is impossible. Your attention is forced into permanent sharpness. You must anticipate every movement. The cold, the wind, the constant instability : the maritime environment engages all your senses and perceptions, without a single pause.
Facing the elements, the brain can no longer retreat into its thoughts. It is forced into total, immediate harmony with what surrounds it.
This uninterrupted over-stimulation is the catalyst. It drains the energy of your usual resistances and triggers the tilt toward the breaking point.
The terrain. Navigation between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, around the Hyères Islands — Porquerolles, Port-Cros, Le Levant. National park. Protected waters, rarely traveled at night.
These are not promises. These are documented effects — by science on one side, by contemplative lineages on the other. Controlled, sustained sleep deprivation isn't a feat. It's a protocol.
The biological clock resets. Your relationship to sleep shifts : you take ownership of your nights.
Stripped of your usual anaesthetics (caffeine, distractions, sleep), you can no longer lie to yourself. The mind has no energy left to stage anything. What remains is you.
You observe your own mechanism in real time : how you negotiate, how you flee, how you hold. No book teaches this. Only direct experience reveals it.
Beyond the breaking point, the body mobilises reserves it keeps locked under normal conditions. The yogis call this state turiya — the fourth state of consciousness. Neuroscience calls it extended flow.
Mathieu is not a coach. His expertise does not come from theory. It is the result of direct transmission from masters in their fields, forged through experience and practice.
Today, he places the entirety of this path at your service. Through his accounts, his lived experience, and the sharing of technical practices taught to him, he hands you the keys to the process. All this while maintaining the absolute frame of rigour and safety required to allow you to cross the breaking point.
The real price is not financial.
12 sessions per year. Only during the summer season. The calendar is not left to chance : each departure is strictly aligned with the phases of Full Moon or New Moon (Dark Moon).
In the Forest Monks lineages and among the yogis, these nights are devoted to awakening and intensified vigil practices. Aligning our departures with these phases inscribes the protocol within this lineage — not from superstition, from traditional alignment. A cadence empirically validated by dozens of generations of practitioners.
Access is not automatic. The selection process is strict : we only embark profiles genuinely ready for this level of intensity.
Odyssée du Sommeil offers a radical tilt in 35 hours.
